Instructions

Click. Super short 'n lazy, just wanted to get it typed. Sorry if it doesn't make sense lol. Requested by @crowy! @Flametail_The_cat asked an excellent question, so here's how I cut parts: First, upload or record or do whatever you're going to do to get the song into the project. Title this sound 'full recording' or something to that effect. Then duplicate that sound. Select however much of it you want to be part one. Either use command-x or go to the sound menu and select 'cut'. Create a new sound. Either use command-v or go to the sound menu and select 'paste'. Name this sound 'Part 1' or something to that effect. Now go back to the duplicate of 'full recording' and select however much you want to be part 2. Cut and paste into a new sound titled 'Part 2' or whatever, and continue in this matter until all of your parts are done (so you have no sound remaining in the duplicate of 'full recording'. In your instruction project, you may want to have the full song playing, which is why you kept the full recording. Alternatively, you can script the project so that it plays each of the sounds in order and use a variable to detect which sound is playing, and show which one it is to give potential MAP members a sense of what the music in the parts sound like to help them select a part to take.

Description

If you use this, please give credit. Feel free to link me to your completed MAP, I'd love to see it! Edit 6/3/16: Okay wow I shared this project like a year and a half ago but it's been getting some more attention lately?? So that's awesome! I'm happy to answer questions to the best of my ability so ask away! Hope I'm helping you guys! Also, I added some music (idk about you guys but I always find it easier to pay attention when there's some background noise-it's Abigail's Song from Dr. Who, for which I take no credit, of course). Edit 3/27/17: So glad to hear that this project is still helping people! I love to hear that you finish your MAPs after using this project as help :) Though i don't release projects anymore, I do check my comments on a near-daily basis, so please feel free to let me know if this has helped you! I love hearing from you!
