From 2019: 1. Kemono-style practice with a dragon. Inspired by a compilation of dragon emotions. Only the head was finished - I intended to make the upper torso. 2. Unused cat sprites for a science project. This would display how patterns of inheritance worked. 3. Unfinished Meta Strider character designs. I have finished sketches of them, and tried to visualize them... it's not that great. 4. Latest sprite attempt of one of my oldest characters, Clyde the wolf. Sadly unfinished. 5. Unfinished sprite of an OC named Galeforce/Garu. I worked of a pretty bad sketch I made. (look at the body, ignore the top half...) 6. Latest sprite attempt of another old character of mine, Ziyronek. I only finished his head. 7. Unfinished sprite of an OC named Akira. This was almost done, so I probably forgot about this. 8. Character artwork for a social studies project. We made up our own Aztec God OCs, so I made one based on the pionus parrot. The style might remind you of actual Aztec artwork - that was my intention. From 2018: 9. Supposed to be a 2018 Christmas gift for @Bacon_Cats. Never got around to sharing it though... 10. A Zorua fan-character. Heavily inspired by @rallyrocket. I'm not sure when I created the original two sprites seen here, but I tried redesigning him and forgot. 11. Unfinished dragon head looking up. 12. Spitz from Warioware. I think these were supposed to be sprites? Forgot about him unfortunately. 13. Unfinished Jazz Jackrabbit sprite. That mouth is how NOT to do Looney Tunes-styled mouths. 14. Ashley sprite, based mostly on her Warioware Gold design. She was in an unshared animation, back when No One Is Around To Help was a popular meme. 15. Unused Clyde sprites for a game concept. 16. Cute versions of SCP 1471, because I would otherwise get yoinked out this site. There were a few interpretations for the color of MALO's fur, so I tried making different palettes for the sprite. 17. Unused original Wilbur sprite from a side angle. 18. Unshared Wilbur in a few situations. I liked experimenting with poses for this cartoony guy. 19. Unfinished character. I tried out a more neon palette, which usually doesn't work out well. 20. Unfinished chibified XVmon Kyru, part of a scrapped game idea. (Where everyone was a chibi, in a platformer.) 21. Artwork for a social project that was later scrapped due to decision changes. These were pretty much furry interpretations of the group. 22. Unfinished Chinese dragon OC. I actually like this design, and eastern dragons in general. 23. Sprites of an old Greninja fan-character I don't really use anymore. I made him a bit more unique by making him Water/Dragon. 24. Scrapped Skyrii redesign, based heavily on her original sprite. Let's just be happy that I used the second design for the latter half of 2018 instead. 25. An attempt at a Reida the Novimon (known just as Rainovimon at this time) sprite. This is actually my second try, before making the one we all know in late 2018. From 2017: 26. Unfinished design of Draiky's true form. I hyped this up in the past despite being a really obscure Scratcher back then, and I kind of abandoned the character in general. 27. Early sprite attempt of Nixonel. I kind of want to reuse the eye here. 28. Unfinished Nucleon sprite from Pokemon Uranium (R.I.P.) This was for a friend. 29. Earliest Ziyronek sprite attempt, named Ziyro at the time. Inspired by @rok012/@Lokav and an increasing love for dragons. 30. Earliest Rainovimon (Reida) sprite attempt. Again inspired by @rallyrocket. 31. Early sprite for Virtual Pet Remastered. Inspired the pet raulf you see in its current release. 32. A Siamese cat sprite named Cylo. I still kind of like this; probably the best sprite you'll see from me in 2017. 33. Earliest sprite attempt of Skyrii. Such an ancient design, but you can still see a few elements present in my current iteration (hair + eye markings) 34. Unfinished Zetlian sprite for @Whitewolfeyy. Just the tail is missing. She's unfortunately inactive now, and I want to talk to her again. Hope she's doing fine. 35. Earliest sprite for Virtual Pet Raulf. I'm not sure if I intended there to be back legs or not, but it being not there bugs me a lot. 36. Unfinished Fakemon sprite. This is supposed to be an Ice puppy Pokemon. 37. Lycanroc Night sprite. It's appeared in a Halloween contest remix, but never actually shared in its default state. 38. Latios and Latias sprites. I don't think I've shared them as F2U sprites, but they've appeared in some of my older projects. They're very stylized compared to the official designs.
(CONTINUED) From 2016: 39. Sprite of an unshared OC, Skyteri the Pteranodon/Dragon. His body makes archaeologists cry in their sleep. 40. Sprite of a LupisVulpes character. I don't remember their name, but she was part of a scrapped animated pirate series. 41. Unfinished front-facing Aurulaze. 42. Unfinished fan-character sprite, Memes the Absol. She's just a joke character me and a friend made. 43. Unshared Lugia fan-character. 44. Asgore as a Marapets Ingi. Not that you'd know what an Ingi is. 45. Dratini and Charmeleon sprites. The earliest vector sprites I found. Dratini isn't too bad, but Charmeleon... This can also be seen as how my art improved from 2016 to present day. Lots of things change in the span of 4 years. I do hope this can be inspiring to you! Everyone does have to start from somewhere. Some notes: - I don't really have many unused 2020 sprites; it's mostly WIP vector designs. - 2018-2016 was during the 2.0 era, so in a way, my art looked even WORSE. Kind of makes me grateful for the improved vector editor. (Bitmap, on the other hand...) - I transitioned from an identity-crisis artstyle (couldn't decide on western or anime) to an anime artstyle. - I'm going to revisit 4-7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 32, 39 and 42 someday.
