For best timing, probably watch on computer, click flag two times, and maybe go through a ritual at the moonpool, idk. Scratch is weird. -- Confession -- When I first heard there was a map of Shadowsight to Outrunning Karma, I kind of thought of the song as a cynical thing where the main subject was basically the villain and I was like, "What? You're going to make a map of that to Shadowsight? NO HE'S A CINNAMON ROLL" ... and then I read more of the script and realized it was mostly about his guilt and blaming himself and now I may or may not be slightly obsessed with the map :) But seriously, I love Shadowsight. He reminds me a lot of myself dealing with anxiety, especially scrupulosity (which is basically moral OCD where you blame yourself for everything and get really stressed about doing everything right and feel guilty constantly which is probably just the normal feeling of anxiety but because it feels the same as a guilty conscience is supposed to feel, you think you've done something wrong but you can't tell what and... ugh it's a pain). == If you're wondering about the text behind the warriors that flashes up, it's largely because I'm kind of excited/hopeful that this arc focuses on more of the aspects of the warrior code than just "No Half-Clan Relationships." Technically speaking, the wording of the warrior code never actually says there can't be half-clan relationships, the code for that just says, "Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may be allowed friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan." That one has referred to halfclan relationships from the beginning (like its story in Code of the Clans) so I guess that interperetation makes sense. But still, there are like fourteen other rules on the list that we never talk about so I wanted to show some of those. I figured that most every cat has broken at least one of the other rules, so I tried hunting down times that the impostor could be interpereting the "Codebreakers" as breaking the code. (I don't like the idea of Jayfeather and Lionblaze breaking the code by being half-clan children because A. once again, there's more to the code than that, B. we already went through that drama in the 3rd and 4th arcs, and C. the code DEFINITELY doesn't say anything about half-clan KITS being in trouble and I like the idea of the impostor technically being right about all the codebreakers because it presents a better moral dilemma.) Anyways, so I went and tried to pick different codes for each codebreaker that I showed, and I decided to show 3 codebreakers because 3 is a nice aesthetic number for storytelling/ portraying sets of things. It's pretty hard to find concrete examples of little things cats do like eating food before the elders so I kind of ended up going for the bigger ones (also that's better for drama.) I stuck Dovewing with the half-clan one because yeah, that's pretty cemented, and then I decided to give Lionblaze the accusation of murder because he had a surprising amount of bloodlust in arc 3. And then I was kind of stuck on the third one, I considered doing Mothwing with something about starclan but couldn't pin anything down. Warriors doesn't technically have a state religion, I guess. So I ended up going with Crowfeather ignoring a kit in danger just because a significant group in the fandom seems to think he was neglectful towards breezepelt. Personally, I don't think we ever really saw him being neglectful on-screen, just kind of cold, and by the time we see them, Breezepaw was an apprentice and generally in warriors the parents only really parent their kits before they're apprentices. So I like to give Crow the benefit of the doubt BUT it was a dramatic and maybe-sort-of fitting combination so hey. Congratulations if you read all that, here's a virtual crepe for putting up with my weirdness. Can't give you a real crepe, sorry. Social distancing and all. Also I probably don't know where you live. That would be creepy. Also idk if we have crepes in the house.
