the project is now out!! see it here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/377537689 hello friends! introducing: sew fun :D press space or arrow keys to see just a few reasons you should learn how to sew! i'm currently working on sew fun: skirts, aka my favorite thing to make :) keep an eye out for its release to learn about gathered, pleated, and circle skirts as well as a sewing/skirt overview. it is geared towards beginner and familiar sewists! however, if you have access to a sewing machine but don't know how to use it, now is the time to learn :) i won't be able to cover the absolute basics of machine sewing in the project as every machine is different. if you don't have a machine, you can still learn how to sew by hand! even though it takes longer, it will be even more satisfying when you finish. i may release a separate project on hand sewing once the skirts project is done. in the meantime, i recommend youtube for learning purposes! there are a lot of great sewing videos and channels on there. bernadette banner is a great historical fashion channel and she does hand sewing as a historical technique- it's really lovely to watch! absolutely anyone who wears clothes (which i sure hope everyone does) should learn at least the basics of sewing. that way, you can fix any problems with your clothing instead of throwing it away! sewing isn't just for clothes though, of course- you can also make quilts, bags, and so much more! however, i will be covering mainly clothing-related content as that is my interest ^^ i hope you all enjoy the project and start (or continue) your sewing journey :D music - lost in the rhythm by jamie berry ♥
