Hello, and welcome to the Kingdom of The Rising Sun... KINGDOM OVERVIEW: The Kingdom of The Red Sun. A harsh, yet densely populated kingdom right in the middle of the gorgeous yet unforgiving red sand desert. Structures are made from sandstone, which is tinted in red just like everything else. This kingdom was the original starter of the slave trade and slaves are highly prominent in this kingdom, most of them impurities (and some criminals as a punishment for many crimes here is casting your family into slavery) The kingdom follows a strict and complicated religion, that of the main gods symbolising Day and Night, Hajak and Dehko, brother and sister gods. Hajak is considered good, while Dehko is evil, which is why many here fear the night. One of the beliefs in this kingdom is that the god of the day, the superior god Hajak, walks on earth as the living king. This means that the living king will be worshipped like a god, with sacrifices and festivals held in their honour. KING KHUFU "Koof-foo" One of the youngest kings the kingdom has yet to have. He's a complete airhead, very ditzy, gullible, clingy and doesn't seem to realise what's going on half the time. He's very protective and needy with his sister, who seems to very much dislike the attention. He is seen as the god, Hajak on earth and worshipped as him, temples have been built for him and sacrifices and festivals are often held. This power and idea of glory has gone to his head and he wholly believes he is Hajak. Khufu and Cleo's parents were always distant or away, and the pair were raised primarily by uncles, aunts and castle servants (and of course, slaves). Khufu does not talk about his parents for unknown reasons and it's speculated he doesn't know what happened to them, which is how Cleo wants to keep it. LADY CLEO The lady of the kingdom, not being queen, is not seen as a god, and, as a result is quite jealous. She's quiet, shady and very good at keeping a dead face, practically never smiling so much as showing emotion. She's a start contrast to her outgoing and ditzy brother, preferring to keep to her castle quarters. She's not nearly seen in public as much as her brother and despite being the younger of the pair, she is far more mature, despite her habit of occasionally getting snappy and rude at servants or subjects, still being young. Cleo, despite being younger than her brother at the time, remembers her parents far better. She also was there on the day they... disappeared, letting her brother rise to the throne at an unacceptably young age. No one in the kingdom knows what happened to them and it is generally accepted to be a murder, although the truth is still shrouded in mystery. Cleo, however... wel,, Cleo knows something.
