HOT DIGGITY DOG OVER 100 LOVES AND FAVORITES AFTER BEING CURATED BY @smartcutecandy ! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Please stop asking for alternate controls, I won't be adding them bc I'm no longer updating this, sorry! Use your mouse-pointer to move. Press A to select, Q to open inventory and S to attack. W to close the book you're reading. Click sides of the screen to turn the page of the book. Note: This is unrelated to any other projects or real-life games called Phantasie. I don't plan to develop this much further, but I will keep using Phantasie World characters in my games! ENEMY LIST: Goblint: Green creatures with strands of lint on their heads, roaming the overworld attacking everyone they see. Considerably easy to defeat. Blorpboi: Greenish-yellow blobs found in Wutinthaworld, made of a toxic substance that is painful to touch. They commonly attempt to charge up an attack, then jump towards the player head-on. Cheestooge: A rare enemy holding a laser gun. If you're lucky, defeating one can make it drop its laser gun, allowing you to use it to your heart's content, since it has unlimited ammo. Vilerus: Living computer viruses summoned by GARY.exe. They teleport after attacking, so make sure you can move them back with your weapon before they do so. Forest Monster: These creeping woodland creatures only spawn once per game. They may be slow, but they pack a punch. Defeating them will release the creature that the monster has imprisoned. BOSS LIST: Goblint King King of the Goblints. He holds a shield that he only lowers while attacking. Use this opportunity to strike. Note: It is possible to defeat him, I've done it myself. Blorpman Slimy menace of the strange realm of Wutinthaworld. Acts similarly to Blorpbois. Stay on your feet during your fight with him, and you might stand a pretty good chance at defeating him. GARY.exe An intelligent computer program capable of creating living computer viruses to do his bidding. His software isn't ready for face-to-face combat yet, so he usually runs from the player and lets his Vileruses to his dirty work. NO ADVERTISING.

Description

I know it lags a bit at first, but please give it a chance, I worked REALLY hard on this. And please remember that RPG does NOT mean turn-based. It just means any role-playing game, and any game where you play as a character is an RPG. I'd like to thank @LordThror for some of the first encouragement I got for this project, and for him and @Dawson2015 generally giving me hope as a mostly unknown Scratcher. CREDITS: Inspired by my desire to create a game with different weapons and hidden areas. Also inspired by Runescape (sharing many more aspects of such games than my previous Open World Scrolling RPG), Minecraft, Zelda, and my other Open World Scrolling RPG. Music is LobbyMusic, no idea who made it, also Flat Zone from Nintendo. Boss music is from Kirby Super Star Ultra, and the achievement sound is an edited part of the same music. Title screen music is from Super Smash Bros. and select sound is from the music of a YouTube video bc I couldn't think of anything else to use lol. Cash register from "SoundBible". "You get nothing!" audio came from Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka. Whoosh sound from somewhere on YouTube. Hit sound from Hobson-TV (probably also from YouTube). Idea for "cheating the system" with sprite size limits on a "ground" sprite came from @Dawson2015 . Report detector and remix detector (latter not working) from @TimeMcCool . Suggestions? Add them here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/25943440/projects/ Quests (and tons of bug fixes) coming soon! COORDINATES: Overworld coordinates: Middleton: X: 0 Y: 0 Scoundrel's Retreat (Where the bounty giver is): X: -1004 Y: 767 Goblint City (once it appears) X: -2777 Y: 26 (The hole leading inside is to the right of the city) Wutinthaworld portal: X: 1985 Y: -2017 There are other special locations, but they will remain hidden for the sake of surprise. UPDATE HISTORY: 3/11/2020 version 1.0: Published 3/12/2020 version 1.0.1: Changed position of portal back to Earth in Wutinthaworld, so that the player doesn't get stuck upon arrival. Added Goblint City (currently inaccessible) and dulled the color tone of the Goblints' skin to make them look more like their original designs. Also fixed shop glitch where items appeared in the wrong stores. Also tried to add enemy sounds, but it didn't go as well as I hoped :| 3/12/2020 version 1.0.2 - 1.0.9: Fixed the book glitch, so you can now read the book about weird stuff. Added feet, so your character looks more like they're walking. Fixed can't-close-book glitch. Added hands for the player character. Fixed a probably annoying glitch that kept players from going back to Earth when in Wutinthaworld. Fixed the glitch that stopped players from entering the house in Wutinthaworld. OFFICIALLY ADDED GOBLINT CITY! But unfortunately, it is inaccessible at the moment. 3/13/2020 version 1.0.30: Made Goblint City accessible. 3/14/2020 version 1.0.50: Added health and the ability to die '-' Added the first boss: The Goblint King. A glitch is preventing players from accessing his castle. I'll get right on it! :) 3/16/2020 Version 1.0.65: Fixed it! The Goblint King's castle is now enterable and the Goblint King himself is FINALLY available to fight! Added Goblint King to startup screen to commemorate the addition of Phantasie World's first boss! Also set it so that the player can grab the king's sword upon defeating him. Recolored Goblint King's sprite, along with the other bright-green Goblints. Added achievements, starting with the one for going to Wutinthaworld and the one for defeating the Goblint King. Made quicker-loading, animated title screen. 3/17/2020 Version 1.0.70: Added another data-saving clone replacement formula and added naturally spawning coins. Also began working on adding a Resistance, a group of rebels lead by Phil, the nervous Goblint in Scoundrel's Retreat. The player will be able to go on missions for the Resistance. Added first Resistance mission, Cargo Run. Changed health bar position, as suggested by @LordThror . 3/19/2020 version 1.0.78: Had to move update notes to studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/25943440/projects/ To be added: Blorp Jr., an enemy that a Blorpboi splits into two of when defeated. A boss for Mainframe.
