I was on a road trip and I saw a billboard for DELMARVA lighthouses and nearly flipped So Delmarva is a real place, apparently: the peninsula off MD that includes Delaware (DELaware, MARyland, VA (Virginia)?). The Art and Origins book shows that Beach City is by Rehoboth Bay (Rehoboth Beach is a real place in Delaware). Rehoboth beach is in Sussex county, at the corner of the bay and ocean (explaining the book's map and the ocean in front of Steven's house).
