This tutorial is a text narrated slideshow / animation: Click the [>] button to continue, or press the space key. Click the [||] button to pause. Click [<<] to go back 10 frames. Click [>>] to skip ahead 10 frames. When the narrator says (for example) "click the anchor point", DON'T click the anchor point. He is telling you what to do later, when you are editing your own vector graphics.
The idea is that this is the first in a line of tutorials about Scratch vector graphics. I chose to start with a tutorial on the selection tools, because I feel it's important to understand how these work. I created all the vector graphics in this tutorial, but obviously much of it is from the Scratch Vector Editor. The narrator is a reproduction of my Nintendo Mii.
