Alexa Luciano Ruiz was a transgender woman who was shot dead. Alexa was in her late 20's. She was abused all her life by strangers and her own family. When she came out to her family she was thrown to the road side where she lived until February 23, 2020 when she was shot 17 times. Ms. Ruiz carried around a mirror to make herself feel safe because she was genrally attacked from behind. On February 23 she went into a women's bathroom in a Mcdonald's with her mirror. A woman in the bathroom decided to go around saying Ms. Ruiz was trying to see under the stalls. Shortly after Ms. Ruiz left the Mcdonald's some men in a vehicle started harassing her and following her then they started to shoot her reaptedly. When police investagated they said it was a dead "Man in a skirt" and didn't even report it as a hate crime.
