Backstory: Real name was Valerie, her great-great-grandma's name. But Val was better for her. She had just moved from Australia, and is TOTALLY love-at-first-sight with Mason. She badly hopes that their relationship works out. So she goes from being a giggly-gossiper to a lax tomboy. She even started Basketball, which her friends in Australia with her gave an oath to never do a sport, and to stick with "playdates" with friends. But Val is past those days of "playing" with her old friends and to her new days of "hanging" with other boys and tomboys. She's straight (not L), tall, and chill. She even threw away her friendship bracelets! She's done with makeup (don't even THINK to ask her about dresses). She's done with glitter. She's in with sports, and horror movies. But she begins to realize that being a forced tomboy was harder than it looked, and that she maybe was going to quit basketball... maybe. And horror movies scare her. （︶^︶） Especially "IT."
