Every once in awhile, I "take inventory" of my bettas. As in, I take pictures of them all so I can refer to them if I think something looks funny on them, that might need to be treated. So here's a gallery of my current 9 bettas, from oldest to youngest (a side note: I will be explaining the blurriness level per picture) 1) Lavender is a purple and white elephant-ear. She spends most of her time lazing around in the floating plants, which is why I was almost immediately able to get such a nice picture of her so still. 2) Bumblebee is a black halfmoon with yellow fins and tail. She is the ultimate definition of laziness, and often can spend hours in the same spot. She has conquered a certain spot below the java moss. I couldn't get her to move from this position so here ya go. 3) Coral is a black halfmoon with red fins and tail and shimmery blue spots. She was absolutely flipping out, and this is the best picture I have of her in this setting. Also partially the reason I didn't get a very good picture of her or Bumblebee is that their scales are a very deep black, which is hard for pathetic Apple iPhone cameras to capture. 4) Skye is a metallic blue and gray halfmoon. While she was not moving as crazily as Coral was, she was still swimming around a lot. Futhermore, her scales are pretty dark. 5) Ruby is a smoothly patterned koi betta. If I were to guess I would say she's a plakat. She is actually my friendliest betta, which is why she immediately went to the camera. I had to make hard choices between at least 5 photos of her. 6) Sapphire is a shimmering blue halfmoon. Sometimes I mix her up with Skye if the light isn't bright enough. She is a rather chill betta, so I also had a bit of a hard decision between her pictures. Again, her scales are rather dark in the front. 7) Iris is a purple and red halfmoon. She is also rather chill. She is my second fattest betta XD but healthy as ever. 8) Ebony is a very slim gray halfmoon. She is like a shadow, especially when I try finding her from above the water. She is skittish, which comes with being the smallest and youngest betta in the tank. When I got her, she was a much darker black, but I think she will pale as she grows, judging from her looks right now.
