Green Flag to start. Hold left mouse button to place clones. Left/Right to move respectively. Up and Down to move back/forward through layers.
Layers are MUCH simpler if focusing only upon the layers and not upon Y-axis movement at the same time. So if you only need a size change to happen, this may be the best layering method for you to use.
