Instructions

WASD/Arrows - move (or Z,X,',/ for proper retro feel) Enter (or L) - shine torch (to stun snakes!) Space - drop dynamite (to kill snakes!) F - freeze/unfreeze M - music on/off Q - quit game Explore the tomb and collect the Pharaoh's treasure, but avoid the deadly snakes! The snakes can be dazzled for a few seconds by shining your torch at them (left and right direction only), and while dazzled they won't harm you so you can run through them... You can drop dynamite to kill snakes. You can only drop one stick of dynamite at a time, so use wisely, as it takes 4 seconds to detonate unless a snake passes over it... (Dynamite can also kill you if you're not careful!) Collect keys to unlock doors which will lead you to the next maze... Extra life at 10,000 points. You don't have to collect all the treasure to complete a level, but collecting treasure also gives a time bonus which will be invaluable on later levels. This is proper 8-bit retro fun! No mouse controls, sorry! You can even use the original BBC B classic "Z left, X right, ' up, / down" keys if you prefer! Description

"Pharaoh's Curse" was a game made for the BBC B home computer and published by H-Soft in 1984. The game is loosely based on the Konami arcade game "Tutankham". All graphics and music taken from the original game, including the thumbnail! The fancy font I've used is called "Ancient Modern Tales" by Chequered Ink. #games #retro #maze #arcade #description(Explore the Pharaoh's tomb looking for treasure, while avoiding the deadly snakes! This is a scrolling maze game, with four unique level designs.)
