Instructions

Hit the ball as many times as you can in a row (Singlepaddle). If the ball hits a certain zone defined by the settings and mode, you get points and the hit counter resets. Score in top left, music volume in top right. WASD - Move paddles Arrow keys - Move 2nd paddle when it is separately controlled Q - pause E - Use item (1P) Space - Use item (2P) M - Mute music B - Decrease music volume N - Increase music volume

Description

Music credits: I actually made the music featured in the game. So me I guess. v5.0 (Jan 21 2020)- Added a new item: Ice (temporarily freezes the ball, the ball then thaws out). In addition, items have been added to two-player modes (1P items are now activated with E and 2P items are now activated with the spacebar). I also added a new 7-segment score system which displays both lives and points (Points are always at top middle, Lives are directly below points except in Circular in which case they are at the bottom middle). There's also more music. Also, pausing actually works properly now. v4.0 (Jan 14 2020)- Added four more items: Paddle Speedup (increases paddle speed), Paddle Grow (increases paddle size), Paddle Slowdown (decreases paddle speed, used upon obtaining), and Paddle Shrink (decreases paddle size, used upon obtaining). Had to change most of the constants to be less constant for the first paddle. Might have to entirely recode the second paddle later, but luckily I don't have to do that since items are always disabled outside of single paddle mode. Still haven't added any new modes though. v3.1 (Jan 14 2020)- Fixed a couple of bugs in Circular mode; those included the ball just completely exiting the arena if exiting facing directly down from the very bottom and a glitch that involved the ball getting stuck on the paddle and causing the hit counter to go up extremely fast. v3.0 (Jan 14 2020)- Lives and items! There are four items: Slowdown (slows ball down), Infinity (allows ball to hit outside for short time without ending hit combo), Shield (allows ball to hit outside once without ending hit combo), and 1UP (adds 1 life). Lives are disabled by default, but world records made with lives turned off will still stop increasing at 0 lives. I also added pausing. v2.2 (Jan 13 2020)- Highscores for different modes, also added better bouncing for Horizontal and Jump Horizontal v2.1 (Jan 13 2020)- Added the ability to play against a computer player. In Horizontal and Circular, the AI is perfect but is slower than you. In Horizontal Jump, the AI is as good as it can be, and is not restricted any more than you are, but can still be beaten. Also added separate scores for two players (must be used vs COM, is optional with 2P), and a world record (which is based on triangular scoring in singleplayer, with multiple paddles you can't get WR but with 1 paddle the game will keep track of your score using the triangular system and will update WR if you beat it) v2.0 (Jan 10 2020)- Added 2P, no separate scores for each player yet though. Also renamed the project to just Pong. v1.1 (Jan 10 2020)- Added Double Gravity and Jump Horizontal modes, both with the gimmick of the paddle having gravity. Both modes are similar to the base modes. v1.0 (Jan 10 2020)- Release (with two since removed Scoring calculations, the Multiple Paddles setting, and Vertical, Horizontal, Circular, and Gravity modes) Scoring: Changes score calculation. Multiple Paddles: Adds a second paddle mirrored to the first one (Circular, Horizontal, and Jump Horizontal only)
