*SHORT STORY* *Yoru was walking in the living room when he sees the front light off. Hikari would usually leave the light on in case she or himself needed it to see the house. Hikari had left to go to the store. She had asked him to leave the light on in case she came back late. He opened the door to see Confused sitting on the steps. He jumped back. She looked up at him, eyes light purple and yellow. He sighed. "Sheesh, Confu. You're gonna give me a heart attack one of these days." She looked down. "...s-sorry..." He sat down and patted her back. "No worries." It had been almost a week since he had found Confused. He and Hikari have been trying to figure out who Confused really is and how she ended up in the woods. He looked up at the sky. "Nice night, isn't it?" She nods. He notices something around her neck. "What's that?" he asks, pointing at the necklace. She held it in her hand. "...don't know..." He sighs. "Right. Forgot about that." He smiles at Confused. "It's pretty though." She smiles shyly. "...it is..." He sits there for a few minutes untill he looks back at her. "What's bothering you?" She flinches. "..." "Look, something's obviously wrong. You came out here without telling anyone. What's wrong?" She stays silent for a while. "...do you think it was a mistake...?" He looks over, a little shocked. "What was?" "...b-bringing me here..." He was more shocked than ever. "Why do you think it was a mistake bringing you here?!" "..." She shrugs. "...I...I c-could cause p-problems...f-for you and Hikari..." He stands up and bends down in front of Confused. "Why would you think that?" "..." Rainbow colored tears were now visible. "...I don't know..." He sighs and smiles. "Honestly, things are a lot better with you here." She smiles, wiping the tears away. "...Th-Thank you..." He smiles back. "You're welcome." A car horn suddenly sends Yoru into fight or flight mode. Hikari steps out of the car. "There you are! I was looking for the house for hours! Come help me with the gorceries, Yoru. Confused, stay in the house." Yoru sighs. "Aye aye, captain." he says sarcastically. "Dang. More like a general." he then mutters. Hikari looks over angrily. "I heard that, Night. Get over here." Confused laughs quietly and walks inside. Yoru smiles to himself and turns back for the car. *THE END*
