The 18-Member Marching Band Imagine you are aboard the Goodyear blimp, high over a football stadium. An 18-member marching band is ready to perform. They are arranged in a circle . At a signal, each member starts to march in a straight line, at the same speed. Besides marching in a straight line at a constant speed, the only other rule each member must follow is that when they hit any side of the field, they must reflect from that side at an angle equal to the angle at which they hit the side. In other words, each band member must obey the law of plane reflection. Watch as a constantly changing pattern emerges from this simple set of rules. Try to determine if the pattern repeats. Add marching music to this project.
