hey kids- i was looking through my old accounts and projects today and it made me realize just how much scratch has developed me as a person. i started my first account five years ago and have since grown immensely. looking back on the art and games that i made, i can see how far i've come. i look in the comments on my old profiles and projects and remember all the wonderful community i've had here. a lot of that has faded and i only really check back in every once in awhile, but i'm still really grateful that i have had this website throughout my pre-teen and teenage years. it had a big role in inspiring me to be the artist i am today and it gave me a creative platform to build on. i'm not leaving or anything, but i just wanted to put this here to thank scratch- and all of you- for the wonderful times i've had here. i looked at @-fontify- and i saw some of the font accounts that sprung up after my font contest and it makes me happy to know that i inspired a few people to expand their creativity. i looked at all the games i coded with terrible graphics and was reminded of my childhood, where I could just have fun without worrying about perfection. i also looked at the progression that my art made over the years and saw how much i improved. i am by no means a perfect artist now, nor do i consider myself to have had a huge influence on the scratch community. but i do remember the friends that i made along the way, and that makes me happy :) so thank you, scratch. even though i've mostly moved on from checking my messages daily and making lots of projects, i doubt i will ever be able to leave this website and community behind. ♥
