Instructions

Okay, so, I drew a realistic picture of Missy in pencil. (If you press space, you can see my 20-minute digital art version which has the coloring.)

Description

Name: Misoka (Missy) Takimada Age: 15 Looks Her brown hair is mostly pulled back into a scrappy bun, with a strand that has long since fallen out of place. Gold and bronze highlights add a metallic touch to her mousey hair. A pair of hazel eyes with golden flecks twinkle from behind heavy lashes. Her face has a gentle slope with sharp bones and a sharp chin. Her skin is mostly smooth and smattered with freckles. When she’s stressed, her hair gets frizzy and out of place, and she gets a bit of acne. To actually look presentable in these times, she has to smooth her hair back in place and wear concealing makeup. Clothing Missy’s style is casual-steampunk. She wears a warm brown leather jacket with dark blue denim jeans and a grey t-shirt patterned with gold. Her favorite pair of shoes are her Victorian era lace-up boots. She always has a little tool kit attached to a leather belt. Gear bracelets decorate her wrists. She always wears a pendulum necklace with ticking cogs. Misoka wouldn’t leave her room without her pocket watch in the pocket of her leather jacket. When she’s not wearing her leather jacket, you can see the gold, silver, and bronze tattoos decorating her arms. It’s not confirmed whether they are or aren’t fake - you can’t investigate them very well, since she usually keeps them hidden. Personality Misoka Takimada hates her name and insists on everyone calling her Missy. Her hazel eyes are keen and observant. Organization is key in her mind: Missy relates everything to clockwork. Gears make more sense to her than people, so although she’s relatively social, she tends to be rather introverted. Missy takes a lot of pride in her work and despises digital watches, calling them “impure.” When she gets upset or is under a lot of stress, she tends to stutter a little, but only in extreme circumstances. Backstory: Missy had a pretty normal life, growing up in a town not too far from Sendai, Japan. When she was about 8, her family moved to Tokyo in an attempt to make the family clock making business grow and thrive. Her father, Ketaru Takimada, began teaching her about clocks before she learned how to speak, letting her play with toy gears he made for her at a young age. She was working with clocks by age 5 and had begun to make more and more complicated clocks ever since. Missy helped her father and mother run their little clock business in Tokyo until That Day.
