Satoru Iwata was born on December 6th, 1959 in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. His father who was a politician was elected as mayor of Muroran. Iwata had had an interest in video games from young, and majored in computer science at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He later got a job at HAL Laboratories and worked on games like kirby, and Earthbound there. At HAL he became the president and at the request of Hiroshi Yamauchi transferred to nintendo. He became famous for creating Super mario and Earthbound, and was known as a programmer and businessman. 2002- 2015 Iwata was the president and CEO of Nintendo, he also got the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2015 Golden Joystick Awards and the 2016 DICE. However, he died in 2015 from Cholangiocarcinoma a rare bile duct cancer that lies outside the liver. Although he died his legacy will never be lost, like in game like breath of the wild they made a character for him and horse that lives on Saturi mt. The computer screen, the 2 game controllers, the small Iwata (although i did edit it), and the vector backdrops are not mine everything else i made (i think)
