gUys when i said remix the species i meant make ur own drawi- you know what never mind A new species, created by @Airclaws: Wingless Silks Appearence: Wingless Silks are dragonlike creatures. They have no wings, their most prominent feature, as the name implies. - More than or equal to four horns - Silky, whiskerlike hairs drape from their horns and/or tail - Catlike talons, with only two talons in their hind legs and five in their front - Super prehensile tail acts almost as a fifth talon - Tufts of fur protrude from elbows and knees - Spines alternate between RainWinglike spines and HiveWinglike spines - Dragon eyes, but more kind looking than your average angry dragon - Mostly scaly, but there is fur on arms, legs and back, as well as back of head - Very rarely, Wingless Silks will develop glider-like fans on their legs, allowing them to glide from high places (think flying squirrels or glydons). This starts at the wrists on their front talons (only) and ends at the armpit - About as large as a dragon - Can be any warm colour, that is yellow, pink, red, green, light blue, etc, and can have multiple colours across their body or just one Typical demeanor: Wingless Silks hate any flying creature, as Wingless Silks are madly jealous of their flight. This includes birds, griffons and dragons, to name a few. Wingless Silks are omnivores, hunters and scavengers, meaning they will hunt and eat what they can find. A Wingless Silk city, called Verilona, is home to the empress, currently Empress Coppermouth. Abilities: - Rarely, as stated above, Wingless Silks develop the ability to glide - Able to tangle prey in silk with glands in their mouths, they spray a sticky web substance through their front fangs, trapping their prey momentarily while wrapping it up with their tails. They can control the type of silk, like spiders, so they can make non-sticky silk if desired - Bad hearing, but amazing sight, even in the dark - Agile and flexible - Can sense anger through their whisker-hairs Social Hierarchy (bottom to top) - Slaves - Miners - Soldiers - Merchants - Farmers - Scholars / Artists - Government Officials - Royal Family Mythology: Wingless Silks believe in two gods: Weave, the goddess of life, and Snip, the god of death. Weave is responsible for the creation of everything. Without Weave, there would be nothing but chaos. Snip is the god of death and destruction. Without Snip, the world would be overflowed and would descend into chaos. Weave and Snip keep each other in balance. Without one, there would be nothing but chaos. Weave and Snip are the only Wingless Silks that can fly, but still do not have wings. They fly by ancient magic only they know. (this is a basic look, the social hierarchy and mythology are a lot more complicated) Decorations: Wingless Silks make tapestries, an important part of their culture. They use the non-sticky silk and dye it with plant-based dyes. Their jewelry is made from any precious metals or gems they find in their mines. They use copper or another metal to make bracelets, wristbands, necklaces, etc. Some Wingless Silks keep wild cats as pets, which help them to hunt. In return, Wingless Silks keep their cats safe and treat them well. They never have dogs, lizards and especially not birds as pets. That's all for now, but I might add stuff later :D
If you want to make a Wingless Silk, go ahead! If you want to make a Wingless Silk with the gliders, please ask me first. Otherwise, don't worry. And definitely don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. You can't call your Wingless Silk Cobweb, that's the name of mine. 1. Profile of head 2. Front talon (right) (the spread talon is just to show you what it looks like when talons are spread) 3. Tail 4. Messy sketch of how front and back legs fit together 5. Horns and whisker-hairs (left) (the thing between the horns is another whisker-hair, but it's purely for decoration) 6. How the fan works (at the top is the wrist and the bottom where the arm and body attach) 7. A bad quality pic of Cobweb, sorry abt that Song: Mabe Village by Aivi & Surassu
