(This is not a cannon story unless approved, although I might RP it later) Brightpaw snuck out of the RiverClan camp through the dirtplace, careful not to make any noise. Her claws dug into the mud at the edge of camp as she faced the stream. She took a deep breath and swam through the cold water. She climbed out of the stream and continued walking. Her paws made no noise on the dirt, and soon she came to a clearing. A small mound of dirt was there, with a tiny flower stuck between two stones. She shivered. She plucked a flower from a patch of grass and placed it on the mound. "Aspenkit.," she whispered, tears threating to fall down her cheeks. "Why?" She let the tears come. The apprentice laid down and cried, feeling the weight of the past few days carry her down. As the moon went down in the sky, Brightpaw laid in the clearing. She stood up slowly and turned around, only to see a star in the sky. It was brighter than the rest, and Brightpaw felt a chill go down her spine. "Aspenkit?" she whispered, stepping forward. "I- is that you?" The star sparkled, shining in the dark sky. Brightpaw smiled slightly. Aspenkit was there, in the stars, with their ancestors. She walked back to camp, tired and happy and sad at the same time.
