Pronounced "Carn-ee-ya" (Here's quite a long backstory which no one really neeeds to read but pleaaase?) Carniya. The sweet, shy little sister and shadow of Tuli, who would never leave her sister's side would jump at the snap of a twig. Whatever happened to that frail little Cavern? This is Carniya's story. Carniya never left her sister's side. Whatever she was doing, any time of day, Tuli was guaranteed to be found with a smaller version of herself cowering behind her. They were as close as could be. There were no secrets between them, no fights, only loyalty. Loyalty and love. The words are bitter on Carniya's toungue today. She was only 10 when it happened, Tuli 12, when illness took their parent's lives quicker than they could have ever imagined and before they knew it both sisters were left alone, to fend for themselves in the real world. It didn't take long for things to turn sour. Tuli, a stick-to-the-rules kind of vix since birth, tried all sorts of jobs to earn them food but nothing ever stuck. Nothing was ever enough, and soon enough Carniya started to watch her sister slip away into a state of mindlessness. She was going dumb, the stress of feeding them both, the grief they had never gotten over and their slow starvation. It was the night that Tuli returned home from another day of scavenging, weak and shaking only to collapse on the floor in an unmoving heap that Carniya decided to take matters into her own frail paws. Try as she might, a 10-year-old, nearly starved vix looking for a job was not someone who easily got work. And after another long day of searching Carniya found herself slumped against the cave walls, too tired to cry, to starved and frail to move. Little did she know that behind those very walls lay the Cave Of Sorrows, the forbidden to speak of place that only the most notorious criminals waited out the rest of their days in. At the sound of a high-pitched, muffled manic voice from the other side of the wall, Carniya was too weak to even jump at the noise, and rather listened in to the voice. She became familiar with it, spilled out her problems to the voice and it would give advice back to her. Call her crazy, desperate, insane, but she trusted that voice. She never thought to question once what it was. Because in fact this was Rhonii, a well-known and feared criminal within the empire who had been locked away in the Cave Of Sorrows for Aquagion knows how long, and it had driven her to madness. At Carniya's plead for help, Rhonii had referred her to a... friend of her's. Blu, a friendly shaman who would be able to help Carniya feed her small family of two. Or so she thought. Blu, behind his friendly mask, was a madman. A killer and a sociopath who worked with Rhonii. But Carniya was desperate, and desperation makes vixes do crazy things. She struck up a deal with Blu, who would provide her with food for herself provided she carried out his dark work. Poisoning. Not an upfront fighter, but quiet and stealthy, the young cavernvix was perfect for the job. Blu provided her with poision and Carniya would go on to kill countless vixes over the months, slipping poison into their food when a vix's back was turned and dashing. Not once was she seen... or so she thought. Tuli had been skeptical, although Carniya had hoped she would have been pleased enough to let it go. She had told her sister it was just a deal with a merchant, she was helping carve gems with a merchant in exchange for food. But Tuli, quiet, observant Tuli, knew better. Why Carniya was so secretive now. So shady. Why she reeked of poison whenever she entered their home. It hardly came as a surprise to Tuli when she snuck out to follow Carniya to her "job," and discovered the truth behind the bounty she was bringing home every night. Tuli kept this knowledge to herself for ages. It ate her up inside, to sleep next to a murderer every night, the knowledge that with every passing day more vixes were killed for their sake. One day, she gave in, went to the authorities and turned her sister in. Carniya was thrown into the Cave Of Sorrows with little more than a glimpse at her. The poisonings had become such a massive problem they were thankful to have finally found the culprit, and wasted no time in locking her up. That was 10 years ago. In her time in the Cave Of Sorrows, Carniya has begun to lose her mind. She finally met her voice, Rhonii, and has sidled in with her gang, although she keeps to herself and will often only be found huddled in the shadowy corners of the cave, her body and mind slowly rotting away. She rarely fights for food, and when it comes to her on the rare occasions where there may be leftovers from Rhonii's gang of followers she will get morsels of food. She spends her days brooding, curled up in a ball and letting her resentment grow. Towards the authorities, to Rhonii, to Blu, and towards Tuli. The one vix she thought she could trust with her life.

Carniya is waiting eagerly for redemption day. Rhonii and her gang have plans, but if Carniya gets chosen for redemption, she's going to get out there again and teach her sister a well-needed lesson. Update: Carniya was chosen for redemption day. Amongst the chaos, the escape of Rhonni and her followers and the death of the emperor Carniya managed to somehow win her trial and earn her new lowly rank as a declaw. Having been sent to the Cave Of Sorrows at such a young age she never received her scar, so she is still waiting on her declaw scar. She's currently staying with Tuli against her will and morals, but with nowhere else to turn. Update 2: With the new changes being made to the cavern’s justice system with Obiski as empress, Carniya was able to gain a rank as a sentry! She is currently training as a sentry and has gained the scar of one. It seems, with time, and help from around her, she’s managing to repair herself. Update 3: Carniya lost the tip of her tail in a rockslide, it was amputated by her girlfriend Abyss, a sage. She's been a primary suspect of what seems like the attempted poisoning of her sister...
