===== Objective ===== > Become the strongest Atlantic hurricane there is. Destroy the cities along the Atlantic coast as a strong storm, and make sure to watch for pressure ridges (the red spots)! ===== How to Play ===== > Use the arrow keys to move > "I" to toggle Cyclone Information > Click on a city to view their current statistics and click off to hide their stats. > "N" to toggle News > "M" to re-sync Music (as multiple sprites were needed to make the music "intensification" and lag can mess up the music sync). > If you're mobile, use the touch controls and the buttons. ===== Important Notes === > So highscores are broken...because Scratch doesn't know how to fix cloud variables. So don't really go for any high score. > The touch controls will always show up each game, regardless of platform. However, if a keyboard key is pressed, the touch controls will disappear until the next game. > It's recommended that you should click the Green Flag after each game to experience less bugs.
===== Description ===== > Ever wanted to become a hurricane? Ever wanted to become a Category 5 and wreck havoc across the North Atlantic Ocean? I introduce Hurricane You! With this game, you can! > With this game, you have seven minutes and nineteen seconds to become a powerful hurricane with very high winds and wreck havoc across the coastal cities along the Atlantic coast! > Begin from a low pressure disturbance and become a very powerful tropical cyclone! And it doesn't stop at Category 5! > That's right, while we do have the Saffir-Simpson Scale, this game has tiers from the mobile Hurricane.io game, which brings Monster Storm, and Perfect Storm tiers at 200 and 300 mph winds respectively. > Speaking of mobile, this game is mobile-compatible with touch controls. You can thank Scratch 3.0 for making this possible. So this game is NOT restricted to just PC players. > Now hopefully you enjoy this game as you wreck havoc across the Atlantic. > Inspired by the mobile game "Hurricane Outbreak" by Nostrovia Inc. > Satellite map by Google; everything else by me =====Version History===== > 1.3.2 (December 3, 2020) + Special messages for names "Sadie", "Lily", and "Jade". > 1.3.1 (August 5, 2020) + Timer is now toggleable in Game Settings. + WASD controls supported > 1.3 (February 26, 2020) + Hard Mode!
