Click on rectangles to see labels and an image for each CA region.
This project shows what students might produce in a CA regions map, using rectangles instead of amorphous shapes. Students might struggle adjusting shapes to fit the contours of the precise regions or match the shapes they see in textbooks. By making basic rectangles, we can allow students to move onto coding more quickly. In addition, loading images as sprites (and converting to vectors) builds in interactive features similar to the ThingLink app.
