Lol HK Scroll down for details, I guess. In a nutshell: The Cerulean Caverns are a region that's overgrown by a blue and black mold-like protist. This region was once a civilization, but was pillaged by the Crimson Cloaks (I'll have other things with more info on them). The said protist is unnamed, but is just referred to as the Mold. By the way, it's not infectious. This isn't alternative plague. If you were to call it another plague, then... fun fact: an individual can be sentient (so, not hive minded), but they aren't the smartest things out there. The origin of the mold isn't clear, but on the Crimson Cloak's departure a certain vial was jettisoned into an ocean, after claims spread that it was dangerous. As it sunk, the ocean eventually pressure made it shatter, unleashing... this stuff. By the way, there's a swimmable ocean that's also overgrown if you have a protective bubble. By the way the Mold may or may not be able to infuse with void, turning them completely black. By the way that may or may not happen at the bottom of said ocean.
