I finally finished my full recreation of the original Doctor Who logo. You would not believe how long it took me to find the proper font for the word "DOCTOR". Type foundries never bothered to actually digitize it! My goal for this was to provide a high-quality, non-distorted version of the logo used in the original opening titles of "Doctor Who" from 1963. To do this, I found the fonts originally used to make the logo, and traced the letters in the vector editor. I later found someone online who is reviving the font, and used his work as a reference to correct the inaccuracies in some of the letterforms. Fonts used: DOCTOR: Gothic No. 578 WHO: Grotesque No. 9 A super large, 4598 x 3401 SVG of the logo is available as costume 31 of the logo sprite. You'll only be able to see a fraction of the "H" when you select it due to the aspect ratio of the stage and editor. "avpatch" on MyFonts helped me find Gothic No. 578. Benjamin Tuttle is making the Gothic 578 revival that I used as a reference for my letterform corrections. http://btuttle.com/type.html
