Instructions

Arrow Keys-Move Click/hold or C- Fire projectiles* *Primary attack gets faster, stronger, and more accurate the higher your level X: Select Next Projectile Type Z: Select Last Projectile Type **Secondary/Tertiary attacks cost ammo Spacebar: Pause. 0 (with A pressed): Inverse color and control. This isn't supposed to be triggered by the player but I made it so due to experimental reasons. Enemy health is determined by how fast they spin (for now) Your level caps at ten. Attack Types: -The Z-Form attack (Pink) fires a single shot. It uses no ammo, and improves as you level up. -The Rapid attack (Yellow) fires a constant stream of moderately powerful projectiles. -The Blast attack (Red) fires a slow yet powerful single shot that blows enemies in range to smithereens. -The Spread attack (Blue) fires many projectiles of weak strength that go in different directions. -(Not-Yet-Implemented) The Nova Charger lets loose an ENORMOUS laser that fries anything that gets hit by it. The green bar must be full before this can be used.

Description

Mostly incomplete, for now... Includes a character, about 32% of the game engine, some low-level enemies, and other basic ideas. Music was created by KingSpartaX37 on Youtube. The reload sound was claimed from the long-gone M44. The static that appears upon death comes from Five Nights at Freddy's 2. 92% of sound effects are temporary; will eventually be replaced by better ones. Changelog: 0.10.0: New experience bar. 0.9.6: A volume slider in the pause "menu," Clouds that are stamped rather than cloned, and some internal tests with the pen. 0.9.5.3: Rearranged the HUD to make it more organized. Oh, and the Nova Chargers give more Nova (based on the difficulty, which will remain locked on Normal for now). 0.9.5.2a: A couple quick graphical edits. You probably won't see much of a difference though! 0.9.5.2: Made more room on the screen (by shrinking a lot of things on the screen). Also added a couple effects. 0.9.5.1: A few more retexures and a couple more rearrangements. This includes new game over screen, which is a parody of the Blue Screen of Death (an error screen you get after you get a critical error on a Windows computer). 0.9.5: The Sector Sweeper! ...Currently it's just a new blaster that is now where your attacks come from. In addition, I've updated some costumes and done some other behind-the-scenes stuff. 0.9.0: A couple more clouds, a game over screen, and a couple little secrets along the way.. There are three of those right now, see if you can figure out where they are. ;) 0.8.5: While I'm at it I replaced that last indicator drone with an ammo bar. 0.8.0: Added experience bar! This does not show the exact amount of xp you have but will give you an accurate approximation of how much you need to get to reach the next level. 0.7.5: Added Chipsets, what will become the game's currency. In addition I rearranged the chance of each of the six pickups appearing- Chipsets are the most common pickup, health pickups are the rarest, and after that you have ammo/nova pickups. 0.7.0: Defined the stats of the two tertiary projectiles. The first one is slow but has a powerful area of effect, the other is very fast but very weak! 0.6.5: Added sprites and functionality for the two tertiary projectile types- They don't yet have any specific stats (they currently use the secondary attack's properties), but they are at least usable. In addition, I redefined the X and Z controls- X selects the next projectile type while Z selects the previous one. 0.6.0: Extended health, traded out vitality drones for a vitality bar, and added a proper character death when you run out of health. 0.5.1: Three new pickups. Currently, all of them are unfinished and have no real use yet. You might see one or two working in the next couple updates though! :) 0.5.0: Spruced up the background just a little :) 0.4.4: Made leveling up easier. 0.4.3: Tacked the ammo variable to a list. Theoretically, I can now put a variety of ammo numbers into a list and have the counter work for any one! 0.4.2: Replaced the old grid with the pre-made stock sample (press Z for a blank sky background). A few other experiments along the way. 0.4.1: A touch of inside work. 0.4.0: Animation when attacked and short immunity afterwards. That should fix a couple issues :) 0.3.1: You can now use the 'C' key to fire projectiles. It doesn't matter whether you use the mouse or the key; it's up to you. 0.3.0: A LOT of stuff: A drone that tracks both your level and your ammo, pickups that restore health, AND the ability to pause (press space)! 0.2.0: Vitality Drones! These are essentially the game's version of health; each one represents four points, and will come and go as you gain/lose health: Don't lose them all! 0.1.1: A different sound effect for changing attacks and collecting ammo. Better, no? 0.1.0: Made not a few tweaks: First. I recolored the stage. Next, the project itself: One one hand, the secondary attack is more powerful, and enemies are fewer and weaker. On the other hand, it is far more difficult to level up. 0.0.7: Your secondary attack now costs ammo- if you run out, the attack cannot be used. Some enemies may drop pick-ups which will give you more ammo. 0.0.6: Added secondary attack. (Press X to switch). Much faster than the first attack, but not as powerful and doesn't improve with you. 0.0.5a: The character isn't as accurate as he used to. Accuracy can be improved by leveling up. 0.0.5: Your projectiles will take more powerful forms at levels five and seven. 0.0.4: Inside work. Mainly, I'm replacing some key blocks with custom blocks. No functional changes (yet), but the role of those blocks will be revealed soon enough... ;) 0.0.3: No longer spawns enemies until the ones already present have been cleared. Also threw in a music track. 0.0.2: Taught those dastardly little squares how to fire projectiles at you. They don't shoot all that fast, but when you have a ton of them on the field, watch out! 0.0.1: Initial Release.
