Deforestation is a big problem, and it has been for a long time. In the 1600s in Japan trees were cut down to build houses out of wood. In 1657 the Meireki Fire in Edo, Japan, left 100,000 dead, and destroyed a lot of forest. At the time this would have been a very great percentage of the world population. However, Japan was able to a make a comeback, by controlling the number of trees being harvested and by replanting trees. Additionally, they implemented Confucian (anti-materialistic) views into society and turned from wood to coal as a source of heat and fire. They also turned to seafood instead of taking up land for land animals to graze. If they had not done this it is likely that the Japanese civilization would have collapsed. We can learn a lot from history, so let's not make the same mistake twice. ============================ Welcome to wind! This is a fun little game I created, and I hope you enjoy it! It is very simple, to navigate through the cartoon, you must press [space] or [>]. That is the same to begin the game. Watch Out! During the game, you must avoid obstacles that come your way, while being conservative with the amount of wind you have, i.e. not flying to the top for the whole time.
