"So this is the surface...?" Asriel, Chara, and Frisk were standing on a cliff overlooking the sun, setting on a beautiful ocean. "It's better than before..." Chara said. She's gotten over her hatred for humanity, but not entirely. "So it was never this pretty?" Asriel asked. He had only seen the surface once, when he died. Unfortunately, he buried the memory so deep it could never be recovered. "..." Frisk said nothing. She'd seen it all before, many, many times. She knew this was the one where they'd all be happy. She did so much to make everyone as happy as possible. Sans walked up beside them, sadness in his eyes. [As usual,] Frisk thought. [He always looks this sad when he gets up here.] "so, kid... it's that time again, huh." He said, startling Frisk. "Uh... s-sans, what do you-" "You know exactly what I mean." This scared her. Sans never speaks that way, unless in Genocide. "Sans, stop! You're scaring-" "-Her? You're very observant, prince. but you know as well, hopefully. Unless the memories got flushed as well." The sad skeleton looked at Frisk, his eyes pleading. "You did so much this timeline. please, don't do this." Frisk calmed herself, and looked at sans. "I'm not going to RESET, sans." he rolled his eyes, and said, "you say that a lot." then walked away. Asriel was confused, as per usual. "Wait, what? timeline? RESET? i don't understand." Chara chuckled. "You will. in time." Frisk didn't know if that was a threat or a promise, and apparently, neither did Asriel. "Well... Let's head down the m-" Frisk was interrupted by a high-pitched familiar scream, and shouting. Chara's eyes darted around, scanning the area for danger or threats. She looked down at the road leading to a town at the foot of Mt. Ebott, and drew her Real Knife. "Down there. Undyne and Papyrus." the group looked down, and saw Papyrus and Undyne running as fast as they could away from a group of humans who were chasing them up the path. "Oh, no. humans found us this fast..." Frisk said, looking at Asriel, whose eyes suddenly widened. "Asrie-..." She looked back down, to see Papyrus crawling up the mountain, having lost his entire right arm. Frisk could only stare in frightened, stunned silence as the group of humans closed in. Then everything exploded.
