ok this is chris!! he was basically born in a cult, n they were not good- like really homophobic and transphobic n all o that- he was treated badly due to the fact that a. he was gay b. they think that women do NOT have the capacity to abuse anyway he was basically homeless for years starting when he was kicked out at age 16 for being "suspiciously close" to another male member of the cult, and he remained homeless until he was 19, when he came back JUST to have a place to live. his mental state got worse n worse until he uh...died of self-inflicted causes- he woke up in the Flowerplace, where souls are stolen and taken there. he was chosen to be the next Flowerhost, and basically became possessed by this creature for like 10,000 years and then was let go. he became "infected", which is what happens when the creature attacks you. infection has symptoms of loss of memory, hallucinations, mild-extreme paranoia, a growth of shadowy black material which consumes your entire body, random jolts of pain, extreme episodes of mania, homicidal tendencies, and vomiting. due to their color, they blend into their shadow-covered environment easily and can kill other people as food extremely easily. he eventually gets cured n just has a mental breakdown mainly because he killed hundreds of people, sometimes multiple times. (when you die in the flowerplace, you basically respawn at a random location. you will respawn again at another location if that location kills you-) he still holds guilt about it. because of this, he's actually really nice to people.
