It had been 1000 years, since she had met them. But as every story should tell- Every journey has an end. Quark was pulled away by cats passing by her. “No! No! No!” She cried out, trying to run back. But she couldn’t. It was too late by now. The last Zodiac was dead. “Please.. no..” Quark felt her legs get weak, and her head get dizzy. She collapsed, and everything went dark. ~ ~ ~ “Take a breath, young one.” “Take another. Feel the air in your lungs. As if you’re entering the world for the first time.” “...Can it hear us?” “No. Yet it reads our thoughts.” Quark felt a presence behind her. Almost unable to move, she twitched, as... something... touched her back. “She fought well. Was very determined to save her friends- but alas...*sigh*” “They’re gone, aren’t they? Forever?” “No, no, not forever.” Quark twitched lightly. Steps were heard, both soothing and ominous at the same time. It was quiet, yet loud. “They will return.” “When?” “It could be a millennium from now. A hundred years. Tomorrow. The end of the world.” “*sigh*” “The universe loves you. The universe said that all you need is within you. The bodies of the Zodiac may be gone.. but with the right guidance their souls will find a way to return. The bond of the universe’s ties is unbreakable. And that’s why I ask you to..” “Wake up.” ~ ~ ~ Quark twitched, slowly feeling her limbs come back to life. She slowly got up, feeling not the ground beneath her, but the void. She was back in space. All was quiet once again. ‘I’m sorry... I didn’t mean for this to happen I-‘ She thought. ‘I’ll find a way.. to get us out of here.. You won’t be alone any longer guys..” She shouted out into the emptiness.
