Instructions

Use commands such as north, east, south, west (or n, s, w, e, nw, ne, sw, se) to move, "inventory" (or "inv") to see what you're carrying, "look" to look around and "save" (or "save game") and "load" (or "restore") so you don't have to start from the beginning each time! Other examples of commands are "open mailbox", "read leaflet", "climb tree", "open window", "what is a grue?". These adventures accept a lot of different commands! You can adjust the number of lines of text being displayed by using the slider at the left of the screen. You can check through the history by using the scroll bar at the right side of the screen.

Description

Forum for questions, information, storing save-codes, etc - https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/370045/ If you're absolutely and completely stuck, try Googling for "<adventure name> walkthrough". Be warned that it takes away a lot of the fun as these games are much, much more satisfying if you solve the problems on your own. Check the forum for known bugs that are being worked on. Please add any new ones that you find so I can keep track... This is a z-code interpreter which works for all versions of z-code up to and including v8. It's packaged with a number of text adventures as well as the ability to load and play any z-code files of your own! It makes use of @RokCoder's Save-Game Toolkit, @RokCoder's image-to-data decompression kit and a modified version of @-Rex-'s excellent PTE Ultra+ Text Engine. The compression kit means that hundreds of games can be stored in the project. If there are any z-code games that you want adding, please let me know! Some features are not yet fully implemented and others (such as graphics) are unlikely to ever be implemented. Game images are from Infocom, Adventure International and general interactive fiction sources. The code is based on WinFrotz but with a lot of changes, modifications, enhancements and Scratchification by @RokCoder. #text #adventures #zork #infocom #interactive #fiction #games #retro #description(I really enjoy text adventures so decided to get the z-code interpreter working in Scratch. Doing this meant I could bring a HUGE amount of adventures into this project. Classic adventures such as Zork, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and many, many more!)
