OC used: Flint It's about time I used this character again, as he's going to be pretty important for Kal and Vaughn's story. I've also changed a few things about this character as well to fit the story better. He loves dogs, sports, building things, and sweets- especially lollipops. He's paralyzed from the waist down but is slowly working on a path to recovery, his father making sure he has only the best doctors. He also suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. Since he lives in the future, there are better treatments for it, but he does have to be very careful as the treatment isn't a cure-all and will often only help with the smaller issues such as poor dental health, hearing, and growth. His father, Fletcher, is a hardworking man and currently chief of police. He knows how much being active means to Flint so he often takes him to calm amusement parks and to watch sports games which Flint is generally appreciative of. Flint's favorite types of dogs are big playful breeds such as pitbulls, rotties, great danes and boxers and he has wanted to get one since he was little. His father's constant worrying over the issue kept him from getting one though. One Christmas he got a small robot dog as a gift. Flint honestly hated it because it wasn't even a fluffy, playful, real dog. But his father was happy as it was a good helper and very well behaved. It grew on Flint little by little but he'll never admit it. Flint, 17, has a job operating and monitoring the police station's security cameras. He enjoys his work, as he always likes feeling productive and useful. Ideally wants to build and operate robots one day, since his dreams of being a professional baseball player have been squashed. He knows it's highly suspicious that his single father, working one job as a police chief, has enough money to not only get him all the top of the line treatments, even the ones that are just being studied, while still being able to afford all the extravagant outings they have on the weekends. Yet Flint values the little bit of security they have and doesn't want to question it even though he knows he should. Holy cow I had to do a lot of research on paralyzation and osteogenesis imperfecta because I didn't want to get anything super wrong. If you do see anything glaringly incorrect, please let me know, as I strive to make my characters as realistic and accurate as possible!
