He found them very fascinating, so fascinating that he had his mind set on being the first to create a black hole simulator. He didn't know enough to know that he was making an actual black hole. He did know the science on teleportation. He took a normal dying star from the andromeda galaxy, and sped up the process of a dying star, hoping to create a black hole. After 3 years, he found his operation had been a success. He worked his teleportation skills and teleported the black hole to his lab to study. He didn't study black holes well enough. The black hole consumed the entire lab, leaving Scratch alone to face the consumer. He couldn't escape it but he tried to escape, none-the-less.
