This is my entry to UmberonKittty's We Will Meet Again CC. I just realized I've been doing alot of Pinetail stuff lately. =) This story is pretty long(you don't have to read it): AshStripe(PIneTail's mother) was hunting in Mountain Clan territory one day when she heard FrostHeart, her fellow clan mate feeding private information to a Night Clan warrior. FrostHeart spotted and recognized AshStripe, but she got away to camp. Since it was late and she was very confused by what she saw that day, when AshStripe arrived at camp she decided she'd tell MorningStar in the morning what she had seen. The next morning FrostHeart made AshStripe go on a hunting patrol with him, but StormPool cheerfully invited herself to go with them. FrostHeart brought AshStripe to one of the wide rivers that split some of the clans territory and forcefully pushed her in. StormPool realized what was happening and tried to save the senior warrior and almost drowned like AshStripe did. When StormPool got back to camp FrostHeart was already there, claiming that Stormpool was the one who had drowned AshStripe. Because FrostHeart was such a trusted cat in Mountain Clan, everyone belived him and StormPool was banished. PineTail ran out of camp with a flurry of mixed feelings. Not knowing how to go on with her life after her mother died, anger and confusion about how who she thought was one of her best friends had ruined her life... Then she heard a sweet, calming voice,"PineTail, Star Clan has not forgotten you." PineTail looked up to see her mother, AshStripe, standing in front of her. PineTail gasped. "I was killed by FrostHeart, not StormPool. You must tell Mountain Clan this." Tears brimmed in PineTail's eyes, "Of course mother." "I had to come for another reason too. You must understand this truth; cats die, and it can be devastating, but you must move on. There will be more cats close to you who die, so you must be strong and remember you will see them again." PineTail began to sob like a kit. "Mom! Don't leave me again..." "I love you PineTail... always have, always will. Do not forget all that I have taught you..." AshStripe murmured as she faded away, back to Star Clan. I hope you like it!! -Bluebird
