Instructions

Use commands such as north, east, south, west (or n, s, w, e, nw, se, sw, se) to move. Inventory (or i) to see what you're carrying. Look (or l) to look around. Verbose or brief to alter amount of description shown. Other examples of commands are "open mailbox", "read leaflet", "climb tree", "open window", "what is a grue?". It accepts a lot of different commands! You can adjust the number of lines of text being displayed by clicking on the main screen and then tapping the up or down arrows until text ends above the input box at the bottom of the screen. This is needed because of different screen resolutions and also because of the difference between playing in full screen or in a window.

Description

Leave a comment and/or follow me if you want to be notified when this project is ready to run all Infocom and Inform text adventures. Right now it is very much a work in progress. It already plays Zork 1 (which requires z-code interpreter v3). I'm sharing it for feedback and to see if there's any interest in it. Ultimately it will allow all Infocom and Inform text adventures (from v1 to v8) to be played in Scratch. (Load and save are not yet implemented). Uses a modified version of @-Rex-'s excellent PTE Ultra+ Text Engine Interpreter based on Zorkmid but with a lot of changes, modifications, enhancements and Scratchification from @RokCoder #techdemo #retro #noindex
