Here's an excerpt from a daily activity during last SWC (I'll shorten it. I know it's probably too long): On the rocking steps of a ship, Lady Daphne sat with the eyes of a waiting audience on her. The audience consisted of the kind Lord of Kos and his crew. They were traveling to Rhodes and had found the lady, soggy and tattered, drifting on a piece of wood. They were yearning to find out how she found herself there. She wore a fresh, dry pair of overalls and her long curly hair was well combed as she started her story. “On my journey to discover an island of paradise to call my own, dark clouds quickly covered the stars. I clutched my necklace for good luck as I steered my ship through the towering waves. My ship rocked violently as I lowered my anchor, the rope slipping through my wet fingers. My long green glowing hair, drenched from the pouring rain, flowed in the fierce winds. Lightning flashed, thunder roared, and the howling winds beaten at my sails. A spiny fin emerged from the dark teal sea. I watched it glide in and out of the wave and I tightened my grip on the helm. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck right before me. I jump backward barely escaping electrocution. Just as I fell on the deck, I heard a piercing crack. I stumbled over the railing as I watched the sea monster’s razor-sharp scales shred my ship to millions of pieces. I plunged into the freezing water along with the remains of my ship. My necklace slipped from my fingers as I sank deeper and deeper. The sea monster weaved in and out from between the planks of scattered wood bobbing with the waves. It seemed to have spotted me and began to circle nearer and nearer. Its pointy fins almost sliced my face as it swiftly snatched my necklace with its long teeth. before. I watched its retreat back into the depths of the ocean. When its mystical tail finally disappeared into the darkness, a wave of relief flowed through my body. An ache in my lungs reminded me of my surroundings and the panic struck me like a bolt of lightning. I frantically swam up to the surface of the water gasping for air. I swam to one of the larger pieces of my destroyed ship and pulled myself on top of it. after finally catching my breath, I looked around to view the sun rising from behind clearing clouds, reflecting in the increasingly calmer waters. In the blinding sunlight, I spot the silhouette of a ship in the distance and you all know where the story continues from here.” She curtsies to the crowd of men staring in awe of her. She looked back at them expectantly and they erupt into applause. Not before long they began to Abruptly, the lord stands up and the crew falls silent. He dismisses the crew before leading Lady Daphne to her sleeping quarters. The lady followed with hesitation in her steps. “What’s wrong?” asked a young lord, looking at me straight in the eyes. I looked away and hid behind my long curly hair. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and teased humorously, “Has the truth behind your glorified tales been escaping?” I nodded as my lips curled up in a smile. He smiled his perfect smile back before he asked with a sincere tone, “Come on, what really happened?
