WHY ARE THERE NO DESIGNS? || An aesthetic adopts is similar to a draw-to-adopt, but instead of competing to win a design, YOU come up with the design. You create a character based on an aesthetic provided by the host. There is usually more than one aesthetic you can choose from. Judging is focused on creativity, detail, and effort. ! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ! There’s no codeword, but entries can get disqualified if they don’t follow the rules. Be warned! || RULES || 1. Anyone can enter! Telling me if you wish to enter/what you’re entering for is optional, but I’d appreciate it :) 2. You may enter for more than one aesthetic, but you’ll only be able to win for one! 3. Entry must be a remix of the original project. If this somehow isn’t possible, link it to me in the comments. 4. You are free to use any art program or art medium you wish, but copying and tracing is strictly prohibited! Any of these means disqualification. 5. Be creative with your design! There are no limitations on species, appearance, color palette, etc. whatsoever. All I ask is that you PLEASE don’t copy another person’s character. It takes away from the point of the adopts. 6. Don’t post any mean or discouraging comments. Please try not to put yourself down with mean things, either :( 7. You ARE allowed to keep your design even if it doesn’t win a place. 8. Most importantly, have fun and unleash your creativity! Ask any questions I didn’t address in the comments! || TIPS FOR A WINNING ENTRY || - Write a backstory! Anyone who’s entered my previous contests knows that I’m a huge sucker for backstories, as it shows you’re really putting effort into developing the character. The more detailed, the better! - Make additional art! Drawing backgrounds also gets bonus points. - Animate! Make a meme or AMV/PMV about the character’s story or personality. I’ve never had anyone animate their entry before, so that’d be really cool ^^ - And most of all, have a good attitude! Be positive about yourself and to other entrants. Although this is a contest, don’t forget to have fun! || DUE DATE || The due date is October 31 2020. Any entries submitted past the due date will not be judged. Results should come out shortly afterwards. || PRIZES || This contest will only have 1 WINNER for EACH aesthetic (4 winners total).
