First Story in a while!!!!!(:!!!!!! Space to see dragons (: The Pantalan Rainwing ___________________________________________ Rosemary was sitting in her egg home in the tree's when she heard a furious roar. *Poinsettia* she thought. Poinsettia was rosemary's sister, and she was probably raging at another toad for looking ugly. Again. Rosemary heard the roar again, this time, with another voice saying "Calm down Poinsettia!" It was Thistle, Poinsettia's best friend's brother. "Shut up Thistle!" Came the reply. Just another typical day on Pantala. Rosemary walked to the food storage only to be confronted by Skipper, a beetlewing(Silkwing ancestors with weapons like rainwings). "Which do you think looks better, the red or blue scarf?" she asked, as usual, worrying about her appearance. "Blue because it is glittery and it matches you" said Rosemary, pushing past her. She didn't mean to be rude, but she was starving. Rosemary grabbed a mango and headed over to where Thistle was trying to calm down Poinsettia. "Poinsettia! Calm down! You just woke me up with all your raging! The toad is a stupid idiot, and, like all the other ones, he is probably deaf now too! So, instead of telling Thistle to shut-up, why don't you!" Said Rosemary. *I am sick and tired of listening to this... This... this idiot!* she thought. Normally, she was a peaceful, quiet dragon, but she was worth listening to when she was angry. Poinsettia's best friend, Lillypad, came rushing over to comfort her. Lillypad shot warning glances at Rosemary and Thistle. Rosemary walked away while thistle cowered under his older sisters gaze. Rosemary headed to her quiet place, next to the pond.When she got there, she saw a colorful dragon, nothing like the bettlewings, sorta, okay, a LOT like the beetlewings, writhing around in the grasp of an anaconda. Rosemary quickly used her leafspeak to free the dragon, and sacrifice the anaconda to a Sundew plant. "Thanks" the dragon managed to paint. "I'm a rainwing, by the way. Okapi. Okapi the rainwing." She managed to say after catching her breath. "I'm Rosemary, and 3 moons, WHERE are you from!!!?" Asked Rosemary urgently. "Oh, I'm from Phyrria."She said calmly, dusting herself. She looked at Rosemary and her surroundings for the first time and suddenly screamed! "WHAT ARE YOU AND WHERE AM I!!!!!!!!" "SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! This is my Quiet space so be quiet! Your in Pantala, my home. I am a Leafwing, just like my tribe. And, 3 moons' you look like a beetlewing!" Rosemary explianed to Okapi that a Beetlewing was a dragon who looked like her, but couldn't change colors, and only some of the could spit venom with their teeth. "Really?" said Okapi, looking interested now. "Really" replied Rosemary. "Now, you REALLY mustn't change colors anymore. If you have to, go to a secluded spot and do it, but change back to you normal color. Now, you need a Beetle wing name..." said Rosemary, thoughtfully. "No, no, no, no,no, no,no, NO. Absolutely not. Nope. I am keeping my name the way it is." Said Okapi. "Fine then, but say that you hatched in the farthest corner of Pantala and no one was around so you ate mangoes and other food to survive. Okapi finally gave in and the pair went to the village. "Who is this?" asked a beetlewing named Glimmer. "This is Okapi. She was born on the outer edges of Pantala, and no one was there to raise her, so she lived off Mangoes to survive while she tried to find us." Rosemary answered, as briefly as possible. Rosemary hurried to queen Monarchs Palace to show her the newcomer, but was stopped by the royal guards, White and Heath. "who are you and what are you doing here?" they asked. Rosemary explained as briefly as possible again, and led Okapi into the queens throne room. "Who is this? Who are you?" the queen asked slowly. "This is Okapi and I am Rosemary." she replied. Rosemary then told the queen the story of how Okapi lived of mangoes to survive while she looked for the Beetlewings and Leafwings. Okapi slowly nodded the entire time. The queen believed them and led them outside, where all the Beetlewings cheered Okapi's name to welcome her into the tribe officially. A shy Beetlewing stepped up to the front. His name was Copper.
