Moonstarr ran across the ice, blood pounding in her ears. Spike chased after her, laughing wholeheartedly. She smiled, flicking her tail at the ginger tom's nose. "Moon!" He called, stopping. Moonstarr flicked her ear. Spike still hadn't gotten used to her leader name. He still called her Moon, the name that he had given her when they first met. "Moon! Stop!" Moonstarr stopped and turned around. Spike wasn't following her anymore. The ice was cold under her feet. *Crack* She looked down at her paws. A large crack had formed on the ice. Her ears flattened. *Crack* She looked up. Spike was running through the trees, a patrol behind him. Yarrowstone, Snowpelt, and Wrenfeather were behind him. But it was to late. A loud crack came from the ice and Moonstarr fell into the dark water. She shivered as the cold water washed over her. "Moon!" It was muffled. She flatted her ears. 'StarClan...' she thought. 'Please..... accept me.....' Her blue eyes closed, but she heard a splash above. She didn't open her eyes. "My dear Moonkit...." "Moonstarr, it is time...." "Don't be afraid...." "We have watched over you....." She opened her eyes, a strange forest around her. Watching her was a grey/blue she-cat and a golden tabby tom, both of them side-by-side, smiling happily. Their pelts were tinted with stars. Moonstarr smiled. "Mother...." she said, looking at the blue/grey she-cat. She turned to the golden tabby tom. "Father....." "Welcome to StarClan."
