Okay, so this guy should start out bad then throughout the course of the story he should turn to the winning side. His sword is evil, though, so if he turns good, he's gonna need to ditch the sword for 2 reasons: One because even if it wasn't intelligent it would corrupt him, and two the sword is supremely intelligent as it is thousands of years old and will either a: kill him by telekinesis, or b: mind control him. Complicated, right?
