Coding: @RedCuzImAwesome Art+OCs: Me, @MistCat Hey I got new OCs. And they're no angels, to be sure. They're a somewhat close-knit group who have been friends since they were children. They all have their own nicknames bestowed upon them by the other members. Each one hates their nickname, but are unable to change it. They usually only use their nicknames during Heists, except for Lucky, who is almost never known by his real name now. (In order of appearance) Rueben "Lucky" Highs Leader and oldest of the group, he's confidant and street-smart with a rebellious nature. He tried to settle down in his early twenties, but couldn't stand the peace and quiet so he rallied his old friends to become proper bandits and outlaws, not just the random hooligans they were as kids. Dubbed Lucky for his sense of timing, and how he can always seem to pinpoint the best targets to steal from. He hates the name because it's not luck, it's skill. Locals realize he isn't a good person, but aren't clued in on his illegal activities that usually take place out of town. Is especially fond of holding up stagecoaches. Asa "Holy" Granville Asa is more reserved than the rest of them, putting up a fragile and cold wall seems to surround him, he's poised and the townsfolk think well of him. He has a soft, pleasant voice that can be eerily intimidating one second and charming the next. He keeps to himself, and mostly gets his good reputation, and nickname, from his brother who well known and liked priest. The nickname Holy stuck, as the other two occasionally joke he acts like he's better than he is, like he somehow isn't a ruthless bandit. Asa hates that he's guilty of his crimes, but it doesn't stop him from committing more. Clifford "Steady" Elbert Although he certainly looks much, much younger than the rest of them, he's only a couple of years younger than Asa. He's an orphan who fell in with the group and immediately loved the sense of unity and teamwork. And when they started stealing? Well, he didn't mind the money. He knows he's expendable to the rest of the group, but feigns ignorance for the sake of keeping the peace, the way things always were. Although he seems youthful and naive, he certainly isn't. He just prefers not fending for himself. He has a bad reputation with the town, but no one can place why they get a bad feeling about him, although Clifford can guess it's because he hasn't got a family or steady job, as they certainly don't have proof of his thieving. He's rather shaky, not exactly due to nerves, but he has a very hard time being a half-decent shot. He received his nickname last out of all the group, Lucky claiming that Clifford didn't deserve a nickname until he could hold a pistol steady. Clifford is lowkey furious he worked so hard to get his nickname just for it to be a reminder to 'not be an absolutely terrible gunman', in Lucky's words. Lucky and Asa both agree that if it ever comes to it, and they have to leave one person behind or throw them under the wagon, it'll be Clifford. Minor characters: (The black silhouettes, from left to right) Lena, Clifford's best friend and crush. Lena isn't a bandit, but she certainly lies and steals. Clifford knows this, although Lena doesn't think he does. She is often enlisted by Lucky to scope out targets beforehand and report back to him. She also uses Clifford's affection towards her to get him to give her half of his share of a heist, which she then splits with Lucky in exchange for underworld gossip and free drinks. Paul and Edith. Lucky is unfortunately Edith's husband. Their marriage was his last bid to live a domestic peaceful life. And he hated it. He still looks out and to an extent cares for his family, but Edith doesn't care. He's not showing his support or commitment in the way he should. She doesn't care when he goes and robs a shop to give her a pretty necklace, what he wants is him to spend time home with her and their son, Sam. Build Sam that treehouse he always wanted. Stay for dinner. Things a husband should do. She's tired, weary but faithful to her family... Sam, that is. Her son is her only family, and she'll never allow Lucky to be thought of as family in her mind. Sam is just a child, but he knows his mom is struggling and knows his father is to blame. He isn't a fan of Lucky either. Earnest He's Asa's older brother. Although he puts his job as a priest first, he always ensures he has time to listen to his brother. Although not the closest of siblings, neither are very chatty and will enjoy long stretches of silence, going about their day together. Earnest knows something is up with Asa, but respects his privacy and trusts his brother enough that it isn't super serious. He's a pious man with devout morals, but has stopped pushing Asa to be the same, and has resigned to praying for him. He does his best to listen and serve the townsfolk and often looks to the Lord for help. He loves his job and the adventure it leads him on.
