This is a simulation of a music box. Click the Green Flag to reset or start. press space to "rotate" the "central steel cylinder" which has the notes as "bumps on the surface" (aka move the red dots down). when the "steel bars" (the long gray sprites) are "plucked" by the "raised bumps" and are then "released" (the end touches a red dot and then doesn't touch it), it "vibrates" to make a sound. each bar has a different frequency. different arrangements of the red dots can create nice sounds. press "d" to sort through different "tunes". To be completed later (or sooner): ADD MORE BARS, Make a full song, make it look more like a real music box? INSPIRED by my music box, with the song "somewhere over the rainbow". I have been fascinated by the mechanics of it, and really like making this realistic simulation. There is a glitch where some of the notes are wrong. You probably would enjoy the quality a lot better if you downloaded, but even better you could wait until the full version is out and then download. I might even make a music box editor, although this doesn't happen very easily in real life.
