Small and very hairy. Flares have fur colors that range from reds to oranges to yellows. They emit small flames from their paws and fur that can be of almost any color. When they run, there are often flames streaking behind them. Flares are not fond of humans, but often curiosity will bring them to one. They are carnivores that mostly eat birds, mice, and fish. Contrary to popular belief, Flares are fond of water; they can be found near beaches from spring to early fall. They hibernate in winter to recharge their flames. They are found in tropical regions and are active from sunrise to sunset. +++++ Ember is a very adventurous Flare. She is constantly in "survival mode", and unlike most Flares she is not very comfortable with being with others of her species (she says that they're "threats to her survival").
