Space or click for other details- Collectors (also known as the Sylléktis) are an original species made by me. If you want to make one ask me first please. They are a closed species and if you do make one with permission you have to make sure you credit me for the species and I ask you don’t trade the design or anything to anyone. Appearance: The Sylléktis are a raptor-like species that becomes fixated on a thing they find aesthetic or interesting. Over years they find/steal more to put in their collections. From dawn to dusk they are in the forms of human children with slight differences from humans in number of fingers on their hands and tongue/eye color which are the same as their Sylléktis form as well as a fascination with what they collect in their other forms. At dusk they take on their second form and have a primal urge to find and collect more of whatever they are fixated on. They are mostly a bipedal species but they use their front legs while running and climbing for extra speed and balance. Their hind legs are extremely powerful, allowing them to jump double their height up into the air. On average they stand about as tall as a medium sized dog. Their bodies can be any range of colors and tend to reflect to a degree what they collect in particular. Their senses of sight, touch, and hearing are extremely acute but taste and smell are far weaker than humans normally. They are immortal unless killed by another one in a fight over an object. Common appearance traits: Short tail with glow bulb on end (bulb is like crystal that absorbs light at night). Size of a medium sized dog. Four fingers on hands. A single fin on the head and two small fins on the back of the hind legs. Singular color scheme (saturation and hue differ) with a simple pattern on the hindquarters. Pale colored tongue (nearly white). Fixation on a singular thing to collect. Uncommon appearance traits: Short tail without bulb at the end. Larger or smaller than normal size. Fin on back and tail. More patterning not just on hindquarters. Horns on head. Adult human form. Rare appearance traits: Fur on arms or legs or around the neck. Feathers on arms legs around neck and on tail. Long tail or multiple tails. A second set of front arms or eyes. Small dragonfly-like wings (not for flight). Multiple colors on body that aren’t just hue/saturation changes. Eyes that are completely black. Dark colored tongue. More or less fingers on front hands than four. Fixation on more than one thing. Collecting and power: Sylléktis are known for their absolute fixation on a specific thing they find interesting. Most often they are ordinary things they collect like socks or chairs or things of particular color or pattern, but occasionally you will get one with a collection that is out of the ordinary. Some have been known to collect things as out of the ordinary as dreams. What creates this fixation in them isn’t just a function of their minds but a combination of the small amount of power that exists in them from when they were created. This power makes them latch onto something they find interesting or aesthetic they had seen within a few days after they were created and then continues to keep them completely fixated on it throughout their immortal lives. The power can conceal them in their non human forms and make them hard to spot out in the open and even if seen for several minutes they will register as a stray cat or dog or wild animal (they have a specific appearance illusion around them as well that makes them be seen as the same animal to everyone that sees them) until the actual creature can be seen completely. They also have the ability to ‘leak’ their immortality into their collections so over time there is still no sign of aging (there are limits to this- the bigger it is of an object the harder it is for this ‘leak’ to keep up with it, and living things larger than bugs it cannot work on so they don’t collect those (plants are an exception)). Some of them also have learned to capture elemental forces and dreams with this natural power in them by shifting what their tail bulb absorbs to what they want to collect and storing it in a jar or bowl to contain it before dawn when they switch forms again. An odd imbalance in their changing pattern will occasionally make them shift during the day if the moon can still be seen. Common collections: Ordinary objects/clothes (socks, chairs, books etc.) Food (Yeah their immortality leak works on food to-) Things of certian color (teal, lime, etc.) Uncommon collections: Antiques Plants and bugs Glass (Windows, bowls, etc.) Pottery Artifacts (fossils, etc.) Unique objects (works of art, fancy clocks, etc.) Rare collections: Elemental collections (requires rare ability to shift their tails natural absorbing ability) Dreams (requires rare ability to shift tails natural absorbing ability) Huge objects. Description

(Read instructions first) Small history/behaviors/stuff that didn’t fit up above and will be put here: The first Collector weas made by my OC Sorren originally, but one of his experiment notes survived so other talented mages were able to recreate his original experiment and create more of them in curiousity at what they are so now there are many of them roaming Morimor. These creatures tend to be below human intelligence which is why they were never counted in the races of Morimor despite having a more humanoid form than that of the Karayan and Dragon races. They are capable of very simple learned language but most of their speaking is in growls and purring/squeaking sounds. They are immortal creatures but with the fixation power their minds are not capable of learning much more than how to collect in more efficient and better ways- they just don’t/can’t care enough to try to learn to be more human. In the case of two coming across each other and wanting the same object, they will duel until one is killed and the other takes the object back to its collection (same rules goes for more than two). They don’t know the difference between stealing and finding things so both are done by them to add to their collections. Their collections tend to be in large abandoned buildings or caves depending on where they live. They tends to live in one area near where they were created for their entire lives and will move around as needed as time goes on as they are immortal and the world changes around them. They are very neat creatures so their collections are well organized and they themselves bathe regularly as they do not like filth (not even if they collect mud or dirt or stuff like that). If you have any questions feel free to ask them and I will add more below this as it comes up.
