Mintkit’s real mother is Breeze, a loner, but she died shortly after giving birth to Minty and Mint’s sister, Dapple. Breeze left Minty with Shadowclan (Dapple was left a loner) and then died. The fire came and all the clans were forced to embark on a great journey together, where Mintkit met a Thunderclan she-cat: Silvermoon. Silvermoon and Mintkit got along well and Silvermoon decided to take in Minty as her adoptive daughter. Minty would still live with Shadowclan, of course, but would never loose touch with her new “mommy.”
