press space ------------------------------------------------------------------------- BACKSTORY ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cuprum and Stibium were born into the royal family of the Kingdom of Ara, with special powers. She could generate electricity, and Stibium had a poisonous bite. She and Stibium hated the Kingdom, with all its expectations and restrictions. All these were because...well...the Aran aristocracy didn't trust her and Stibium. They had power, so they were a threat. Stibium had had enough. When they were 15, they decided to escape. But the aristocracy found out, giving Quicksilver the task of guarding the twins. But Quicksilver wanted to escape just as much as they did. At 16, they made it. Climbing along the castle walls and knocking out the sentries, they got out. But Quicksilver didn't. At the last minute, Commander Kenn grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and pulled her back into the castle. Cuprum and Stibium had no choice but to go on. You can find out what happened to her here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/318576285 . They started roaming the land, searching for other cats with powers like them. A few months later, they found Stanley, who could transform existing matter through music (based on string theory). Cuprum and Stanley, without the help of Stibium, who was becoming ever more distant, decided to create a team of fighters out of the 'alchemical' cats they were eventually going to find, to bring down the Kingdom of Ara. Of course there were bound to be some minor complications (*cough*Apeiron and Brimstone*cough*), but they found some others. And at that point, Stibium could never be more different from the plucky 16-year-old who couldn't wait to have a stab at bringing down a corrupt government. But that was in the past. Cuprum couldn't bear to leave him all alone, but if the safety of her friends depended on it, then she had to... -------------------------------------------------------------------------
