Sadie has a lot of hidden feelings. She is pretty shy and doesn't talk to people at school. She doesn't raise her hand in class and when she does get called on, her voice is a bit quite. Some kids bully her sometimes and call her "Small Voice." This really gets to her but she doesn't try to change it. She'll lie and say she is really close to her brother. In reality, they just talk about Henry. In fact, Sadie doesn't talk, it is just Henry. When Sadie got to the age where she could walk and talk, her parents tried to just focus on Henry and his anxiety. This caused her to be self reliant. Her dad noticed her feeling a bit lonely and he would focus on Sadie a lot afterwards. This made Sadie super happy. He would call her Chocolate Chip or just Chip for short. They had really connected. When he started to go clubs all the time, Sadie went to her lonely time again. She would lie on her bed and pet Lucy a lot. Sometimes, when no one was home, she would talk about her feeling to Lucy. It made Sadie very happy and she often enjoyed it. Given she was technically Henry's dog, he would yell at Sadie for having Lucy in her room after an exhausting day at school. This got on Sadie's nerves sometimes but she didn't yell at him for it. She had some rules when being around Henry. She couldn't fight with him, she couldn't tell him something that would make him freak out get stressed, and she had to take over some of his tasks if he had too much. Whenever she tries to help, Henry just denies it and discards her. She often draws when she's full of emotions. This really helps her blow steam. It calms her down and she puts her feelings into her artwork, which makes them look very beautiful. Her mom only asks Henry if he wants something from the store. Sadie ends up using the paper that Henry uses for his sheet music and her assorted art kit from her dad. Her mom only gives Henry the chore money for cooking and laundry and doesn't notice that Sadie helps out with it too. She takes a 5 from Henry every week when he is out with his friends. Only once in a while does her mom check in with Sadie so she goes to the park on days when she doesn't have much to do so that her mom doesn't get worried. Sometimes she brings a camera and takes pictures. Otherwise, she just sits and listens to the sounds of birds chirping, dogs barking, and kids playing. Sometimes, a lady named Beatrice talks to her while her grandkids play. Sadie thinks she is quite nice and enjoys talking with her. There are some days that Beatrice isn't there. When she isn't, she likes to look at people and just try to figure them out. There is the one boy who looks about her age. He has a little sister. He picks up his sister and swigs her around in a circle like he's a carnival ride. Sadie wishes that Henry would do that with her when she was younger but Henry didn't have as much energy as he does now. She learned that the boy's name was Louis and his sister was Lilly. Sadie didn't have enough confidence to go approach them and it would look weird if she just said hi without having a purpose for being in the park.
