Instructions

I have found either Google Chrome or the offline editor to be the best places to play this game. [/\] [<][\/][>] : Movement [Z] : Shoot [X] : Focus [C] or [SPACE] : Bomb [P] : Reset game (return to title) Take down as many enemies as possible! Focus mode slows your movement, and makes it easier to slip through tight gaps. Bombing will save you from death- by clearing the screen of enemy bullets, and dealing massive damage to any enemy it touches! Take a risk! Fly close to enemy bullets to earn extra lives and massive score boosts! There are 5 stages in this game! If you do exceptionally well, you will move on to the second loop, which will challenge even the toughest player! (to practice 2nd loop stages, type "2" before your practice selection, i.e. "3" will become "23")

Description

Welcome to Red Ship! If you couldn't tell by the monochrome graphics and, well, the title, this is a sequel to Green Ship: Overkill, which you can play here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/161133646/ Back before Scratch 3.0 came out, I started working on this. It started getting laggy and less playable as the game got larger, so I abandoned the project. I recently came back to it, and thanks to Scratch 3's expert handling of large numbers of clones, I have been able to make this a much more complete-feeling game. CREDITS: @OrcaCat (Cosmosys on Soundcloud) made the superb music. The graphics, program, concepts and patterns were made by yours truly. There are several homages to other games (ones I've made and other shmups), including Lightstorm Fighter, Touhou 5, and Crimzon Clover! See if you can spot them all ;D Tags: shmup, shooter, arcade, game, danmaku, shooting, action
