(TL;DR starts from third to last paragraph. But you're encouraged to read the full announcement. Ultimate TL;DR on comments.) Everyone, it's been a really great pleasure Scratching with you all. Back at @PikachuRox, I never thought I would end up making personality quizzes that enlighten the community with inspiration. Before I posted my first ever personality quiz as @PikachuRox, they weren't a trend. But look at us now. What types of projects are front-paged nowadays? I feel like I've changed the Scratch community a great deal, because I inspired them to. Creating things that either haven't or barely have been done before and receiving so much praise for it feels, well, awesome! It's pretty much what I strive for in life, frankly. But what underlies the loves and favorites how it opens the community to new eyes. Trust me, knowing that your content has earned both of these gifts feels so much better than having just the former. So I thank you all for making my Scratch run a spectacular one! -- Aside from that, I feel like my dedication to Scratching is starting to dim. I don't wake up every day thinking about my quiz fans or personality quiz ideas like me back in my glory days 5 years ago. Heck, I still haven't even opened my 11,928 messages due to preservation purposes. College work, adult responsibilities, and more relevantly, new/revisited hobbies all feel more important and productive than posting personality quizzes. I know a lot of Scratchers are young kids, so I hope you understand that. My main ambition is to become a video game programmer, with digital art being my secondary hustle. Honestly, as a college student, I don't feel like I fit into the Scratch community anymore. Scratch programming seems to be going in a direction where it's now being geared towards young kids/teens, and it always has—but now you can obviously see that. The community is also booming in popularity. That means much more Scratchers pleading for attention and more loves taken for granted, which doesn't remind me of Scratch 2.0 community at all. Lots of Scratchers my age have moved on long ago, and so I feel like it's right to leave the new Scratch 3.0 "generation" (if you will) to roam and lead here. A whole ton of you must be wondering: Is this goodbye, @Personalities / @PikachuRox? I sure dear hope not. My occasional visits here remind me of my teenage life and its life-changing moments. For instance, meeting @Strikerwott12 was one of my first inspirations to become a digital artist—and I am one now! This is not the end of my digital creations. By now, I hope you've realized that I've shifted my focus (not completely—so no, not leaving Scratch) on other content-oriented communities like Redbubble and DeviantArt. I highly encourage my followers to check my works for both out at least once. Start with the URL on this project's thumbnail. (TL;DR starts from here) After posting this announcement, I can see my follower count diminishing as times goes, even though it has been steadily increasing. It's heartbreaking to think about losing my hard-earned followers because of this impactful notice. So, followers, if you don't mind still leaving a space for me in your "following" list, even if you now know about my stance on making personality quizzes nowadays, please let it be. If you've been lingering on Scratch even though I've mentioned long ago about me working on my DeviantArt and Redbubble, then I'm asking you to explore the non-Scratch content I have in store—starting here: wizard-emeraldheart.deviantart.com . Always feel free to continue checking here for my future quizzes and maybe college lab drafts! To start, the Kalos Personality Quiz will release Aug 14-16. May creativity and inspiration continue to embrace your lives, and may personality quizzes continue to be a trend here! ⭐️ Special thanks: @PKMNranger : You gave my first ever fan art. Receiving something meant just for you is a spectacular feeling in itself. @Rumanti : You allowed my first ever published project to be put in your featured studio. You kickstarted my publicity! @Strikerwott12 : You greatly inspired me to become a digital artist. You also fulfilled, without hesitation, my first art request and is still a great friend to date. @Leafino , @venomous-squirrel , @BIG-red-BUTTON , and all who followed through with my move to this account: You and your following helped me be recognized immediately after posting my first two quizzes on this account. And for the three linked Scratchers, you all made me feel like one of those big-time Scratchers, despite not showing advanced Scratching skills at the time. @DarkCrystalBall : I still feel special to be in your lil' niche! We seem to be synced w/ each other. Our steady follower count. The fact that our popularity has gone downhill over the years. Barely active, and still here. Good times. ;) And lastly, the Scratch team: For managing a great community and giving me a second chance.
